Hello my babies! How are all of you?

I've been sewing some more, what with the warmer weather in my lil corner of the world, and it's been really nice!

I have a ton of stuff I want to show you in upcoming posts, like some stuff I got from the thrift store, my recent projects and maybe some drawings I've been working on?

Anyway, here's a recent outfit:

SASS

All this stuff is thrifted!
The shirt is from the little boys' section (SERIOUSLY GO LOOK in all the sections of the thrift store. You will find the best stuff in random places.)
I actually made these pants, but they are technically from the thrift store cuz that's where I got the fabric.
And the shoes. THESE SHOES YOU GUYS. The platforms are almost 2 inches tall and they are SUEDE. I got em for around ten bucks!

I can also do a tutorial for overalls if you want, since i just drafted a pattern and made a pair!

And... maybe I'll scan in bits from my sewing sketchbook? I'm not sure.

THE SPIEL BASICALLY

I have been so conflicted with clothing lately... like on one hand i want this:

And on the other hand, I want all this stuff...

I've been mostly leaning towards the Rayanne stuff because that's the kind of clothes I own, but I don't know...

Anyway, here's an outfit:

 

 

The dress is thrifted, the shirt is my dad's, the earrings are thrifted (75 cents!)
The necklaces (from left to right starting with the beaded one) are from: my grandma, the makerfaire (I traded one I made for this one, which contains a rat bone!), handmande, and from my town's new age store.

I've been listening to this song a LOT recently and I really love it. Like, you can try to be awesome and cool and charismatic and funny but you can also NOT try sometimes. And that's totally ok.

I stenciled the Buddha shirt a while ago
I made the sleeves from tights using this diy from the lovely Ruby and tie dyed them using this diy (JUST FOOD COLORING AND VINEGAR YOU GUYS)
I made the pants from a skirt
and I made the earrings from some beads.

hallowed

can we talk vibezz, you guys?

For some reason the word I've been thinking of is

Hallowed

which makes me think of my alter ego praying in a barren room, candles, stiff black hats, and blank faces.

it's also the origin of the word Halloween (hallow e'en (evening)) so we can through in some goulish stuff too, like a whitewashed room with spiderwebs and a colorfully painted ceiling and maybe a tree growing through the center? and some strange ornaments.

This, but equated into clothes.

The pallet is mostly starch white linen and black velvet, but deep colors are good too, also some random embedded sparkly jewels... The silhouette of Hasidic religious-wear i find extremely beautiful: wide pants, long starched shirt, layers upon layers of black and charcoal, topped with a hat.

I think androgyny is exceedingly beautiful... I'm cutting my hair again on Saturday :)
